Graduate Singers present two very different, highly dramatic and moving settings of the requiem.

One of the most stunning examples of Renaissance polyphony, the rich sonorities of the Victoria Requiem are perfectly suited to the sumptuous acoustic of St Peter’s Cathedral.  Paired with this is the 20th Century setting by English composer Herbert Howells.  Written 350 years apart and in two different cultures, these two works demonstrate the vast palette of vocal colour and effects available in a capella singing.  They are true masterpieces of choral music.
