About the Graduate Singers
For over 30 years, the Graduate Singers have been presenting fine choral concerts in the City of Adelaide. Current director, Timothy Marks, has been with the choir since 2000 and will be celebrating his 10th year as musical director in 2009.
The choir aims to provide a environment in which choristers are able to further develop their vocal and technical skills. The choir rehearses without an accompanist which provides a challenging, but rewarding, musical experience.
Recently the choir has received critical acclaim for its performances across a wide variety of musical styles. Under the direction of Timothy Marks the choir has undertaken many bold and innovative concert programmes. Highlights have included the Monteverdi 1610 Vespers, a concert of Celtic music, and a celebration of African music featuring dancers and drummers from Liberia. Recent performances have also featured numerous Australian and World premieres.
Recent works include:
Faure Requiem
Monteverdi Vespers (1610)
Charpentier Te Deum
Victoria Requiem
Barber Angus Dei
Allegri Miserere mei, Deus
